Impact Queue Guide

Review, validate, and prioritize high-value opportunities surfaced from your analysis.

Impact Queue Guide

Impact Queue helps your team turn insight into measurable action.

What Impact Queue Does

Impact Queue collects candidate opportunities from your analysis workflow and lets your team:

  • Confirm impact assumptions
  • Add notes and context
  • Log validated opportunities
  • Dismiss low-value or low-confidence items

Depending on your workflow, you may review these follow-ups directly in Impact Queue or from the Impact Queue section inside Inbox. Some teams also start this workflow from the Impact Capture widget when they already know an opportunity deserves structured follow-up.

Where Items Usually Come From

Impact Queue is strongest when it sits downstream from real analysis.

Common entry points:

  • a chat thread that surfaced a likely savings or operational opportunity
  • an Inbox review that uncovered a follow-up worth quantifying
  • a widget-driven review that ended with a concrete recommendation
  • an Impact Capture workflow used to formalize the next step
  1. Open Impact Queue and review new items
  2. Confirm or dismiss each item
  3. Add practical notes for execution context
  4. Route validated items into team action owners

A short weekly review is usually enough to keep momentum.

Prioritization Framework

Prioritize items with:

  • High operational value
  • High confidence in assumptions
  • Clear owner and next step

If one of these is missing, mark it for follow-up data validation before committing.

Good Team Behaviors

  • Keep notes concise and action-oriented
  • Dismiss quickly when impact is unclear
  • Use evidence from the original thread instead of rewriting the whole case
  • Use recurring reviews instead of ad-hoc cleanup

What Healthy Adoption Looks Like

  • Fewer stale opportunities
  • Faster validation decisions
  • More items moving from insight to assigned action

Common Issues and Fixes

Too many low-value items

Narrow prompt scope and improve data connection quality checks.

Team unsure whether to confirm

Add a simple internal threshold (for example, minimum estimated business impact) and use it consistently.

Follow-through is weak

Pair Impact Queue reviews with Workspaces and Scheduled Reports so owners and follow-ups stay visible.

Items are duplicative

Standardize how your team captures opportunities. If the same issue keeps being logged multiple ways, use one canonical workflow and close the duplicates quickly.
