Use this page when setup or analysis behavior does not look right.

Connection and Data Issues

I connected a source, but results look incomplete

Check:

  • Correct organization is selected
  • Prompt includes explicit timeframe
  • Data source still appears connected
  • First validation questions return expected table/tab/date coverage

Snowflake connection keeps failing

Check account format, credentials, warehouse state, and schema values with your internal admin.

Power BI connection succeeds, but the wrong business view keeps showing up later

Confirm you connected the intended workspace and dataset, then review the source name and Routing Map details so the semantic model is easier to distinguish from other sources.

Google Sheets cannot connect

Verify the sheet is shared with the service account email shown in onboarding and that the URL is correct.

Google Sheets connects, but results still look wrong

Check tab names, header rows, date columns, and code consistency. If the workbook mixes several unrelated trackers, narrow the question or split the workbook ownership more clearly.

File upload did not connect

Confirm the file type is supported and file size stays within the limit shown in the upload flow.

Response Quality Issues

I am not sure how to ask the right question

Start in Explore. Describe the operating problem, then use the Analysis Brief to confirm source, timeframe, grain, filters, and assumptions before running Analyze.

Answers are too broad

Add:

  • Specific line/area/plant
  • Exact dates or range
  • Required output format (trend/rank/compare)

Results seem off from expected KPIs

Ask a control question for known numbers (for example yesterday's total output) and compare against your trusted source.

If mismatched, re-check connection setup and naming conventions in AI Context.

DashboardGenius seems to pick the wrong source

Tighten the question first:

  • name the business scope
  • specify the timeframe
  • mention the workflow if relevant

If the same confusion keeps happening, review source naming and Routing Map details so overlapping sources are easier to distinguish.

Explore produced a brief that does not match my intent

Correct the brief before running Analyze. Tighten the business goal, source name, timeframe, or target grain, then ask Explore to revise the handoff.

Collaboration and Sharing Issues

Team cannot find shared work

Use Workspaces consistently and keep workspace names standardized.

Team cannot find shared visualizations

Keep the analysis in a Workspace or move the thread into shared scope. Team visual history is strongest when useful work lives in shared collaboration, not only in private history.

Recipients not getting scheduled report content they need

Review report question clarity, cadence, and recipient list. Add or update stakeholders in People & Team if necessary.

Reminder Issues

I expected a reminder, but none appeared

Ask directly, for example: "Remind me next Monday morning to check this again." Reminder cards usually appear only when the conversation clearly points to a future follow-up.

A reminder time looks wrong

Check the displayed scheduled time before creating it. If it is wrong, edit the reminder card or restate the desired time in chat.

I keep using reminders for the same workflow

Consider a Scheduled Report instead. Reminders are best for personal nudges; Scheduled Reports are better when DashboardGenius should produce recurring output for a team or stakeholder list.

AI Context Questions

What belongs in AI Context?

Add durable business definitions and terminology. Avoid temporary updates that change hourly.

Can I include files or voice notes?

Yes. AI Context supports text plus uploaded content, and voice notes can be transcribed into usable context.

Can I include visuals or PDFs in AI Context?

Yes. Visual references can help when a screenshot, diagram, or document layout matters. Add a short description so the business meaning is clear.

When to Contact Support

Contact support when:

  • A connection repeatedly fails after credential checks
  • Access or invite behavior is inconsistent
  • Scheduled report behavior appears unreliable over multiple runs
  • Reminder emails or recurring reminder status repeatedly look wrong after you have checked the card time and cadence
